5-minute morning workout at home: three rounds, no equipment
Quick answer
Do three 45-second rounds with 30 seconds of rest between them: Round 1 is overhead and side reaches (or 30jumping jacks) to wake up your shoulders, Round 2 is 20 deep bodyweight squats for your legs, and Round 3 is 12 clean push-ups for your upper body. Total time: under 5 minutes beside your bed.

The 3-round morning lap
This routine mirrors the daily 3-quest lap in Reps Race. You need a patch of floor beside your bed and four minutes on the clock.
Quest 1 · Reach & Mobility (Catch the Dots)
45 s · 25–35 reachesStand facing your phone at chest height. Reach quickly across your body and overhead to tap each dot as it spawns while dodging skulls. No jumping required—perfect when the rest of the house is asleep.
Quest 2 · Lower Body (Bodyweight Squats)
45 s · 18–25 repsTurn sideways to your phone, feet shoulder-width apart. Sit your hips back until your thighs pass 65 degrees from upright, then drive up to standing tall.
Quest 3 · Upper Body (Push-ups)
45 s · 10–15 repsSet the phone on the floor and step into a tight plank. Lower your chest until your elbows pass 90 degrees, then press back to straight arms.
Optional Swap · Cardio (Jumping Jacks)
45 s · 30–40 repsIf noise isn't an issue, swap Round 1 or Round 3 for 45 seconds of full-reach jumping jacks (wrists above your nose, feet wider than your shoulders).
How to make the morning habit stick
- The 1-quest floor: on rushed mornings, doing just one 45-second round grows your daily streak. Finishing all three earns +50 bonus XP and a gold dot on your week card.
- Hands-free flow: after each solo round in Reps Race, the camera stays open for 20 seconds on the results screen—raise both hands to tap Next quest without walking over to your phone.
- Pick your size: if 20 squats and 12 push-ups feels too heavy first thing in the morning, set Me › Quest size to Easy (×0.5). When it feels easy, bump it to Beast (×1.5).
Make it harder next week
Every rep from your morning quests chips away at the Skull King weekly boss (600 HP on Normal). Clear all three quests six days a week to defeat the Skull King before Sunday night.
Train safely
Not medical advice. Check with a doctor before starting a new exercise program. Warm up, clear the space around you, and stop if you feel sharp pain, dizziness or shortness of breath. If you have a health condition or an injury, or are pregnant, ask your doctor which moves suit you.
Questions
Is a 5-minute workout in the morning actually worth doing?
Yes. Five minutes of full-range squats, push-ups and overhead reaches raises your heart rate, warms up stiff joints and builds a daily habit you rarely skip. In Reps Race, finishing just one of the three daily quests keeps your streak alive, and finishing all three earns a perfect day.
What if I can't jump in the morning because of downstairs neighbors?
Use Catch the Dots, Squats and Push-ups—none of those three require your feet to leave the floor, so the entire 5-minute routine is completely silent.
How does the Skull King weekly boss work?
Every week starts with a 600-HP Skull King on your Home screen (scaled to your Easy, Normal or Beast quest size). Every rep or dot you score in any round subtracts directly from the boss's health bar.
